The position
The Building and Infrastructure Planner is an action-oriented leader who adopts appropriate strategies to successfully carry out the preventive maintenance program. They are responsible for keeping the company’s buildings and infrastructure in excellent condition over time.
Reporting to the Major Projects and Infrastructure Manager, the Building and Infrastructure Planner is responsible for the rigorous planning of building and infrastructure maintenance activities in compliance with applicable regulations for all the company’s divisions in Quebec.
Main responsibilities
- Develop the weekly maintenance schedule and ensure its dissemination.
- Implement appropriate strategies to ensure that the maintenance plan is executed according to established timelines and other requirements.
- Plan all internal and external material and human resources needed to execute the maintenance plan.
- Work closely with the coordinator, technicians, and external suppliers to execute the maintenance plan.
- Ensure compliance with various legal requirements related to the maintenance of the company’s buildings and infrastructure (fire systems, potable water, air quality, etc.).
- Verify that all legal documentation (e.g., certificates) has been received at the time of task closure and ensure its availability in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Knowledge and skills sought
- College diploma in building mechanics or other relevant training
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with a CMMS
- Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (an asset)
- Professional working proficiency in French and English
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and collaborative platforms such as Teams and SharePoint
- Strong ability to react quickly and efficiently to unforeseen events
- Effective time and priority management
- Excellent sense of organization, rigour, and work methodology
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
