Vegpro International Inc. is the largest grower-packer of baby lettuces and vegetables in Canada. Vegpro proudly cultivates its own land, thus controlling the quality of its products from seed to plate. It also has four packing centers located in the heart of its fields: two in Sherrington, QC; one in Coldstream, British Columbia; and one in Belle-Glade, Florida.

The main workplace of the position to be filled is on the South Shore of Montreal, in Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington. Advantageously located about 30 minutes from the Champlain Bridge, near the crossroads of highways 15 south, 10 and 30.

Under the responsibility of the production supervisor, the electromechanic will have to carry out repairs and preventive maintenance of systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic or electronic). The electromechanic will also have to install and adjust new production equipment. The electromechanic will carry out repairs and preventive maintenance in order to ensure the proper functioning of the plant. He may also be called upon to participate in identified improvement and optimization and health and safety projects. 

• Locate breakages, identify their causes and perform repairs
• Test repaired equipment or components
• Complete work orders
• Clean and lubricate pumps, compressors, and other equipment
• Inspect the mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic components of equipment
• Participate in the creation of a preventive maintenance program
• Install, align, disassemble, and move stationary industrial machinery or mechanical equipment
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), good manufacturing practices (GMP), and HACCP regulations and procedures
