Job Description
- Plan and prioritize daily operations optimally
- Participate in daily production meetings and communicate any relevant information to your team
- Make recommendations to the department manager on the organization of operations, equipment used, work methods, labor, equipment, and machinery
- Ensure the preparation and start-up of production lines
- Lead the production team in execution in collaboration with the production schedule coordinator when changes to the production schedule are required
- Validate and approve employees' time punches in your area on a daily and weekly basis to ensure the accuracy of time sheets
- Ensure effective communication between work teams and other departments for any situation
- Evaluate employees and ensure the development of their skills
- Administer performance evaluation and improvement plans on a regular basis
- Create and participate in regular follow-up discussions with employees regarding their performance
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators at the individual level and for the entire team
- Mobilize all employees and maintain team spirit
- Conduct individual coaching missions
- Complete necessary production forms
- Ensure the integration of new employees and coordinate task training
- Train new employees on safe working methods, GMP, and HACCP standards
- Ensure that employees work safely, adhere to the established dress code, and wear mandatory protective equipment

Knowledge and skills sought
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Operations and Production Management (OPM) or any other relevant training considered
- Experience in the agri-food industry and manufacturing sector
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer platforms
- Functional bilingualism (French and English), knowledge of Spanish is an asset
- Ability to work in a cold and humid environment (3°C)
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GFSI) and occupational health and safety
- Possess mobilizing leadership, good judgment, and a global vision
- Sense of urgency and good priority management
