Job Description
You play a key role in the organization’s financial performance by leveraging your expertise to support business decisions. At the heart of the financial cycle, you are involved in month-end closings, P&L analysis and budget preparation. You work closely with various teams to turn financial data into actionable insights that support the organization’s decisions and priorities.
Your role also involves contributing to various special projects and strategic initiatives, where your analytical skills and understanding of operational challenges make a real difference. You ensure the quality, reliability and consistency of financial information while identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
You will also oversee the Assistant Controller responsible for accounting and financial entries, providing guidance and support in their responsibilities while ensuring the quality of their work and its alignment with the department’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the Assistant Controller throughout the month-end closing process, ensuring the quality, reliability and consistency of financial results.
- Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting processes, including data consolidation, variance analysis and the preparation of recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Analyze financial and operational performance, monitor key KPIs, and identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a business partner to operational teams by translating financial data into concrete recommendations that reflect on-the-ground realities.
- Participate in performance reviews with internal stakeholders, providing a financial perspective to support analysis and business decisions.
- Ensure the consistency and integrity of financial and operational data, as well as the effectiveness of internal controls.

Knowledge and skills sought
- achelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA designation required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar Financial Controller role.
- Experience in a public accounting firm is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes within an integrated ERP environment, ideally in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is a major asset.
- Advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of Power BI.
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong interest in financial and operational matters, with the ability to translate data into concrete recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail, autonomy and sense of responsibility, with a structured and results-oriented approach.
- Agility and adaptability in a changing and evolving environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to identify optimization opportunities.
- Excellent influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders around common objectives.
