    Job Description

    Type of employment: Permanent | Full time | Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Supply raw materials and packaging materials to the production line.
    • Move pallets of finished products to storage areas.
    • Perform the receiving and shipping of raw materials, finished products, and packaging goods.
    • Ensure the integrity of the products.
    • Check that quantities match the receipt/shipment slips.
    • Scan labels for data entry in the EXA system.
    • Monitor daily and monthly inventories.
    • Weigh and place products in the appropriate locations.
    • Rotate products (FIFO) according to storage standards.
    • Carry out preloading inspections.
    • Load and unload the trucks.
    • Manage the pallets, boxes, and storage areas in an optimal fashion.
    • Receive the purchase order forms and take note of those to be prepared during the day.
    • Using a forklift, fill the purchase order forms.
    • Perform daily forklift inspections and maintenance.
    • Maintain a clean work environment.
    • Respect occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures, and good manufacturing practices (GMP, Canada Gap).
    • Use safe work practices.
    • Comply with the established dress code and the wearing of mandatory protective equipment.
    • Report any dangerous situation or potential contamination to the immediate superior.
    • Perform all other related tasks.

    Knowledge and skills sought

    Skills and abilities:

    • High school diploma
    • At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse, driving forklifts, and loading trucks
    • Excellent knowledge of mathematical calculation principles
    • Professional proficiency of written and spoken French
    • Working proficiency of English and Spanish (an asset)
    • Ability to work in a cold environment (10° C)
    • Ability to work outdoors as well as indoors
    • Knowledge of HACCP standards (an asset)
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lb. loads
    • Careful and meticulous
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Capable of working under pressure and with a sense of urgency
    • Enjoy working in a team
    • Good customer service skills
