Location: South Shore of Montreal, at Solar Uniquartier in Brossard. Ideally located about 5 minutes from the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge, near the intersection of Highways 15 South, 10, and 30.

As the Head of Training and Organizational Development, reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will play a key role in shaping initiatives and practices related to company culture, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and implement a brand-new service offering with a direct impact on our sites in Quebec, British Columbia, and Florida.
You will be a central figure in establishing strategies that will have lasting effects on our organization and employees. As the number one ally of HR, you will be at the heart of our organizational development strategy, acting as a catalyst for change and a champion of operational excellence. Your ability to intervene quickly and effectively in various contexts will allow you to maximize the impact of your actions.
Main Responsibilities
- Evaluate the organizational culture to identify areas for improvement and growth
- Design initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, change management, and company culture
- Propose and implement a strategic approach to skills development to address short-, medium-, and long-term workforce challenges
- Create and deliver diverse and innovative programs to strengthen the skills of both employees and managers
- Participate in organizational change projects, ensure effective communication, and manage stakeholders
- Work with the values, mission, and vision of Vegpro International Inc.
- Evaluate program outcomes and adjust strategies based on feedback and data collected
- Participate in succession planning and talent development to adequately forecast human resource needs and manage career plans
- Collaborate closely with the Human Resources Business Partners team to align organizational development and skills development initiatives with strategic and operational objectives
- Develop strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction by creating a positive and motivating work environment
- Manage the training budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Plan and control expenses to maximize the impact of training investments
- Oversee administrative aspects of the training function, including scheduling, logistics, and resource management.

Knowledge and skills sought
- Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, or Human Resources Management, or any combination deemed equivalent in training and relevant experience
- 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar role with relevant advisory experience to managers, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, to easily communicate with our two other sites in Florida and British Columbia and ensure smooth communication with our plant employees
- Recognized ability to act as a strategic partner to meet business needs with urgency in a complex and dynamic environment
- Strong skills in building interpersonal relationships and working in a team
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report data accurately, timely, and meaningfully
- Demonstrated ability in work organization and strong capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing priorities
- Bold and creative, you know how to take calculated risks to provide innovative solutions
