Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Key Account Manager serves the territory that covers Canada, more specifically Quebec, Ontario and the West Region. He is responsible for managing Major National accounts in the value-added lettuce known as fresh Attitude brand. The primary workplace is in Toronto and the interaction with the head office will be telecommuting. He ensures that the company's sales objectives are met and is strategically involved in maintaining the organization's strong growth rate and sustainability.
Main Responsabilities
Incentivizing, negotiating, signing and managing agreements, directly with our customers, partners or suppliers.
- Develop the market for certain profitable products.
- Follow up on customer satisfaction by responding to customer requests or complaints, as appropriate.
- Meet with customers by getting involved in their accounts and activities, or to solve problems.
Helping to increase sales of our value-added vegetables
- Maintain and increase sales and provide support to the sales team to achieve set objectives.
- Generate category growth from existing and potential client accounts.
- Define pricing strategy, program implementation planning, or information sharing, in close collaboration with the sales team (commodities and value)
- Ensure customer loyalty and develop loyalty strategies.
Manage and develop existing customer accounts, including major accounts
- Proactively create upsell opportunities with existing customers.
- Maximize the impact of its actions on turnover, prices, competition and prospecting.
- Gather information in order to develop a market strategy, manage and plan the territory served, and to be served.
- Collaborate with logistics, to make delivery routes profitable.
Prospecting customers according to market development strategies and the vision of the competition strategy
- Identify prospects, visit them, establish and maintain business relationships.
- Develop territory and accounts receivable plans and coordinate their execution in collaboration with strategic partners and vendors or team members.
Acquire and improve knowledge and skills
- Be familiar with all the products offered by partner farms in Quebec and British Columbia in terms of added value.
- To perfect your knowledge of the vegetable market, and sales strategies.

- College or university degree in business administration or a related field, with a specialization in sales or marketing;
- More than ten (10) years of experience in sales and marketing in retail or food industry or agribusiness;
- Excellent level of English, in both written and oral communications in order to serve local markets in Ontario and British Columbia;
- Demonstrated strong negotiation and influence skills;
- Has impeccable professional ethics;
- Has an excellent network of contacts in the food industry;
- Excellent communicator with a very customer-oriented approach and business needs;
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills;
