Job Description
Vegpro International Inc. is the largest grower-packer of baby lettuces and vegetables in Canada. Known under the "Attitude Fraîche" brand, the company has revolutionized its field of activity since its founding in 1998. A Quebec company with its head office in Montérégie, it employs nearly 1,000 passionate collaborators and offers them a dynamic and ambitious challenges.
Vegpro proudly cultivates its own land, thus controlling the quality of its products from seed to plate. It also has four packing centers located in the heart of its fields: two in Sherrington, QC; one in Coldstream, British Columbia; and one in Belle-Glade, Florida.
The main workplace of the position to be filled is on the South Shore of Montreal, in Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington. Advantageously located about 30 minutes from the Champlain Bridge, near the crossroads of highways 15 south, 10 and 30.
Maintain the warehouse, manage the inventory, and give access to parts as per the established procedures :
- Create, identify, locate, and enter parts parameters in the inventory system, and arrange parts on shelves.
- Create new sections and classify parts by category.
- Give requested parts to employees and adjust the inventory system accordingly.
- Maintain required stock levels for parts and initiate purchase requests as needed.
- Respond to employee requests for parts.
Perform physical and electronic receipt of equipment and parts, and follow up with the people concerned :
- Physically receive material and perform any follow-up required in the event of errors.
- Validate compliance between the packing list and the order form generated in the system, and follow up in the event of errors.
- Give material to the appropriate person or store it on the warehouse shelves.
- Carry out the electronic reception of goods in the system (acknowledgement of receipt).
- Send the packing list and the acknowledgement of receipt to the Accounting Department.
- Provide support for the purchase of parts as needed.
Prepare work orders and requests for the Maintenance and Engineering Departments :
- Reconcile computer-generated inventory with manual counts of items in stock.
- Using the electronic system, check stock levels as material, equipment, and other items are released.
- Rotate stocks and list any expired items.
- Support the immediate supervisor in completing various tasks.

Knowledge and skills sought
- High school diploma
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position (an asset)
- Experience taking inventory
- Interest in industrial mechanics (an asset)
- Knowledge of a manufacturing environment (an asset)
- Knowledge of a CMMS inventory system (an asset) (IT Guide)
- Professional working proficiency in oral and written French, basic knowledge of oral English
- Thorough and rigorous
- Good physical shape (occasionally having to move parts or packages weighing up to 50 pounds)
